Info Link USA

When InfoLink USA outfits a venue with cutting-edge connectivity technology, the infrastructure they build out is only half the story. The other half is what happens inside that venue and how the people there actually experience the difference.

Foos for Thought worked with InfoLink to develop interactive programming that helped their clients leverage new technology like Augmented Reality (AR), local permanent and temporary internet networks, creating meaningful, engaging touch points for users. From brainstorming creative applications through implementation at university sports venue programming for live public events, we helped turn a technical investment into a tangible, interactive human experience. Then we designed and administered evaluations that captured both public and client feedback, giving InfoLink and their clients a clear picture of how audiences engaged and what to build on.

THE RESULT:

Programming that made the technology make sense for the clients who invested in it and the audiences who experienced it.

Pennington

Once scientists at Pennington have proven research that will help people better understand how to live healthy and perform at a high level, they want large scale, measurable ways of informing the public.

Foos for Thought has worked with researchers at Pennington since 2016, developing in-person and digital programming that inform a variety of populations from children at museums to new patients at health clinics. Intent on success, we help the team of scientists craft assessment tools that track how meaningful these experiences actually are for their audiences and train the scientists on facilitation in different settings. Whether preparing college and olympic coaches’ workshops or designing animated Public Service Announcements, we make sure audiences connect with the content so the Pennington team can empower others to use their transformative research anywhere in the world.

THE RESULT:

Experts connect with the people who will benefit most, providing important information to them in ways that make it easy-to-understand and immediately apply in their lives.

LPB

With a new children’s educational digital series planned, LPB needed fundraising and grant opportunities, methods of distribution, and project coordination to make their vision a national success.

Foos for Thought collaborated with the show’s creator to write scripts, build a learning framework, develop online activities for each episode, identify potential underwriters, identify and submit grants, scout and schedule show guests, coordinate national expansion, and create in-person programming that helped distribute the show to high value audiences across the country. Looking for alternate forms of distribution, we conceived of a pathway through partnerships with state and local agencies, receiving a large federal grant to successfully pilot implementation of the model. Whether drafting creative content, increasing sustainability through fundraising, coordinating community programming, or innovating distribution expansion, we helped Ziggy’s Arts Adventure connect with audiences of all ages while winning national recognition such as a Suncoast Emmy nomination and the 2023 NETA Award for Outstanding Visual Arts Programming in public media.

THE RESULT:

A new PBS show is able to film 3 seasons, find audiences in multiple states, and win awards for outstanding content, while developing a new national distribution model for public media content.
